I’ve always been inspired by the idea of doing more with less. It’s quite fitting that this capsule of one-of-a-kind pieces, made with great soul and purpose, is named for my great-grandmother, Tillie, a seamstress who emigrated to Brooklyn post WWII as a widow with 9 children. My name, Taylor, was inspired by her and growing up, I was often told about how she regularly remade her kids’ clothing; she was scrappy as hell and so good at what she did that people thought she was gaming the welfare system by having her kids walk around in fresh looks on a regular basis.
Your incredible support of this small business enables and inspires us to give back--in perpetuity, 100% of the profits generated by this capsule will be used to fund the work of organizations & individuals battling the interwoven, systemic problems plaguing our neighbors, friends, colleagues & loved ones. Over the years, as we fundraised for causes big and small, we’ve seen firsthand that we can do a lot collectively, even at a small scale. We couldn’t be more proud to put into motion this important piece of our longer-term goal to demonstrate the beauty of doing more with less.
Funds generated by the current capsule will go to Moms Clean Air Force is a nonprofit, grassroots environmental advocacy group, which focuses on protecting children from air pollution. It has chapters in 26 states, more than a million members and is politically neutral. Protecting children’s health is a nonpartisan issue.

Inspired by a simple, homespun French apron from the 40’s, the subtle scalloped shape on this two pocket apron is both flattering and amazingly comfortable. Selvedge ends on extra long ties (each strap roughly 60’) fits most. Made of a durable organic cotton drill and handmade by our beloved friend and remarkably talented seamstress, Jeanne, in Dartmouth Massachusetts.
Funds generated by the sale of each apron go to Moms Clean Air Force, a nonprofit, grassroots environmental advocacy group, which focuses on protecting children from air pollution.
