Inspired by a stalwart, vintage Korean War Naval deck sweater and the maritime classics in the archive of Fall River Knitting Mill, our knitting partner in neighboring Fall River, Massachusetts. I still can’t believe we get to make sweaters 15 minutes from our shop door with a family run operation that spans 100 years.

This year we are so happy to offer this uniform staple in two different kinds of wool, at two different price points: 100% Donegal wool, which is gorgeously soft and the better option if you’re sensitive to wool as well as a hardwearing, RSW outerwear wool, which truly gets softer and better with time and wear.

An ever so slightly dropped shoulder, gently tapered waist and a roomy body make for an easy to wear silhouette. This is a sweater that’s ready to take a beating, yet somehow manages to look impeccable dusted off before an important meeting. We recommend ordering your normal size, or the size you’ve previously ordered, unless you are looking for an especially roomy or slim fit.
